**Construction Project Updates & Traffic Alerts**

Veranda Street Bridge Work Update

The nighttime drainage work has concluded. There will be additional night work for the next few weeks, from Monday to Saturday, but that work will be mainly carpentry work around the new bridge and will not create the noise and vibrations the previous drainage work created.

There will be daytime roadwork starting next Tuesday that will take place until the following week, which will create some vibration and noise on the East End of the project. That area will be from around Martin's Point to the crossover near Olympia Street.

Marginal Way Work

A second coat of striping on Marginal Way between Franklin and Forest Avenue will begin Monday, August 16, at 5:00 AM. This work includes striping all the long lines and installing green paint for portions of the bike lanes. Some traffic delays are expected. The work should be completed by the end of the day.

Fore Street to be Converted to One-Way Traffic

Beginning the week of August 16, the City’s contractor, Gorham Sand and Gravel, will begin construction on the Fore Street-Eastern Promenade Sewer Separation Project. In order to accomplish the project work, the Contractor will convert Fore Street traffic flow to one-way only flow between Mountfort Street and St. Lawrence Street. Fore Street and Eastern Promenade will remain open to eastbound traffic in the direction of the Eastern Promenade throughout the project. Please seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
