Portland Offers Enhanced Website

In partnership with our web provider, CivicPlus® and technology provider Frase, we’ve launched a 45-day trial of a new chat bot feature for our website. Visit to check it out (lower right hand corner). We know that you’ve been relying on our site more than ever, and so we hope that by adding the chatbot feature, you’ll be able to receive a near-immediate response and one-click resolution to your inquiry, thus avoiding phone calls, emails, and other service request channels that are inherently more time-consuming. Keep Up to Date with the FY21 Municipal Budget Process

Given the significant revenue losses the City has faced in light of the pandemic, the City took several measures to reduce expenditures as it prepared the FY21 recommended budget. Despite getting some federal and state COVID-relief funds, the recommended budget includes cuts to services and positions given continued revenue losses combined with increasing costs outside of the City’s control.

Read the City Manager’s full budget letter, here. The Finance Committee held meetings on August 5, 6, 12, and September 2, 10. The Council will host a budget workshop on September 14. The first read of the budget was at the Council’s September 9 meeting and the final vote is expected at the September 21 meeting. To view agendas and budget materials, visit:
